Day 17

So…on my way to the gym today I was stopped at a stop light and an SUV plowed into me at full speed. Hard enough that the driver’s air bags deployed. So after all that was documented by the police and I chilled at home for a while, I did make it to the Gym with my wife to start coming up with some workout plans for me going forward.

I got my usual streak achievement and a new one for indoor walking.

Day 14-16

So…apparently life happens and my Daily Update became a bit less than daily.  I will try to keep that up in the future.  Luckily, I have been keeping up with my exercise and have lots of nice shiny awards to show for it.

Day 14 – 1/11/17

Met all my goals and got the award for longest move streak (15 days), 200% move goal, and most calories for Arc Trainer.

Day 16 – 1/13/17

Yay, caught up! Doubled my move goal today, got my streak, did 33 minutes on the Arc Trainer and thus got longest on Arc Trainer and finally got my most move calories in a day!  That makes 2 of the 5 new ones I could get this week.  There is still a possibility for 2 others (300/400% move) but the 7/7 achievement is not possible because I did not get 15 minutes of actual workout on Tuesday.  I still hit all my rings, but won’t get the 7/7.  Next week.

Weigh-In Week 2

2016/12/30 – 322lbs
2017/01/06 – 320.2lbs
2017/01/13 – 317lbs

Weekly loss: 3.2lbs
Lost since Initial Weigh-In: 5lbs

Yay! I have to admit I was a bit scared to step on the scale this morning because my daily weigh-ins (which I won’t be publishing) have not been promising and I had Dominos pizza for dinner last night.  However, I have been exercising really hard and drinking a lot of water so I suppose it makes sense.  So 5 lbs in 2 weeks…looks like healthy weight loss to me.  Just gotta keep it going in that direction. Smile

Day 13

Had a decent day today.  I filled all my rings before even going to the gym which was convenient since my wife was not feeling well and asked me to stay home.  I was kinda disappointed as it prevents me from getting my perfect exercise week for a second week in a row, but she asked me not to go.  As they say in the military, Happy wife, Happy life. Winking smile But anyway.  I managed to get my streak accomplishment for Day 14.  Not sure how it got to 14 when I only see 13, but perhaps it counts better than I do. I am not complaining.  That is one less day til I get my 100 achievement.  If I don’t miss any days, I should get that on April 7th.  I am not holding my breath that that will be possible as I have vacation in there, but I will do my best.

I ate mostly healthy today.  Might have had some tasty cheddar and caramel popcorn but only a few handfuls. (really..I swear…).  Anyway, here are my general stuff.

Day 12

filefile1file2file3

Had a good day for both workout and food.  I continued my streak and I got one of my 6 new Achievements by burning more calories in a workout than ever before.  I figured out how to make my weight training workouts show up in the app so my 45 minute upper body session counted.

But it is late so I need to go to bed.

Ouch…

Wow, I am REALLY sore. Not gonna say I have never been more sore because that would probably not be true, but I am really sore from yesterday.  I suppose with great Accomplishments comes great Soreness. Winking smile I like it.

Anyway, I am going to start logging my meals here as well as a way to keep myself on track or at least hold myself accountable.  I think I will break those out from the workout daily updates but most of them will be the same.  Bulletproof Hot Chocolate for breakfast, Protein Shake for lunch, high protein/calorie diner, protein shake after workout.  That should give me enough calories each day to not go into starvation mode but be low enough to keep me losing weight.

I used Wolfram Alpha to chart the least amount of calories I can eat each day based on my metabolic rate.  It looks like 1703 is the low number for someone my age/height/weight/activity level.

snip_20170109091408snip_20170109091424snip_20170109091430

I will probably aim for between 1703 and 2000 each day.  The only way to maintain that while doing intermittent fasting is to plan it meticulously.  But all I need to plan is the one large meal per day.  The BHC has 424 calories and each protein shake has 320 calories x2.  I will eat one Oatmega bar for 190 calories or a couple beef sticks for 200 calories. Thus, I already have 1254-1264 calories accounted for. So I need to eat a high protein meal for dinner with between 450-750 calories.  Should be simple enough to plan.  But execution will be challenging.  Additionally, I am trying to keep all my caloric intake between 2-8pm.  That is tough when I workout so late and thus have my protein shake at 9 or 10, but I think stretching it from 2-10 should be ok.  Just need to try to get to the Gym as early after I put my daughter to bed as possible.  Anyway, let’s see how I do.

Day 11

filefile1file2file3file4

Man, what a day.  Tons of Achievements today. I went to the gym and did 25 minutes on the Arc Trainer so I got an Achievement for the most calories burned on an exercise after doing it 5 times.  I love how specific those are. Winking smile

file6

I got another Achievement for having a perfect week (Mon-Sun) in each of the rings and one for a perfect week in all three.

file8file9file10file11

I of course got another Achievement for increasing my streak to 11 days of move.

file7

And finally, I got a special Achievement for getting a perfect week during one of the first weeks in 2017.  I am not sure if I can get this every week, but I am certainly going to try.

file5

I can only realistically get 6 other Achievements this month.  I could potentially get 5 of them this week, but I would have to try really hard on at least one day to burn 2200 calories working out in a single day (which would accomplish 4 of the 6 at once).  I am not even sure how healthy that would be, but I will talk to my wife (personal trainer) about it and see what she says.  I might just try to hit the 1650 goal first but I really want to get all the Achievements (of course, there is one in there that takes 1000 move goals to complete! So we will talk again in 3 years).

The first one I should’ve gotten this week if the watch tracked weight training, but it doesn’t so I have to do at least 15 minutes of cardio each day for a week to get it. The next few should be fairly simple.  The perfect month one will be a challenge, but I want it so we will see how I do.  I think I can hit a perfect month.  Hell, I want to get all perfect months from now on.  But that is me 11 days in.  Lets see how I do the first time I come up against a vacation. Winking smile The last 2 are what I was talking about above with hitting 300-400% more than my current move goal of 550cal/day.  I need to get them soon though because once I start upping that move goal they will become unrealistic.
